Mujirushi Ryohin is one of the biggest chain stores in Japan and you can find everywhere all over Japan.
And some of the foods they sell are vegan or vegetarian.
This time I tried 2 veggies cakes that I’ll introduce you them.
What’s Mujirushi Ryohin?
Mujirushi Ryohin handles relatively quality products from clothes to foods at a reasonable price.
I myself often go to Mujirushi Ryohin as I sometimes buy clothes made of organic cotton or veggie foods.
Not all of them but they also sell some organic or additive-free products.
They focus on environmental issues, too.
I also like the quiet atmosphere and cozy relaxing music inside.
You can find Mujirushi Ryohin everywhere in Tokyo.
Even overseas, I could find Mujirushi Ryohin in some countries.
Veggie Carrote Cake
This Carrote Cake doesn’t say vegan but it says eggs or dairy products are not used.
I myself checked all the ingredients just in case and found that even vegan people can enjoy this cake.
But note that it is not an organic or additive-free cake.
The price was about $1.5 (250 yen).
The taste was good!
I felt like it was a slice of pound cake.
Crunchy walnuts on the top add accent to the cake.
I could also enjoy the spices such as cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg.
If I pick up one difficult point, it is a little crumbly.
Like you can imagine from some pound cakes, it also crumbles while eating.
Still, it was tasty that worth trying!

Veggie Banana Cake
This Banana Cake also doesn’t say vegan but it doesn’t use eggs or dairy products like the Carrot Cake.
The price was also same as the Carrot Cake; about $1.5 (250 yen).
The taste was sweeter than the Carrot Cake.
I could enjoy good smell and taste of banana from the cake.
This cake was baked with banana puree kneaded into the cake and topped with coconut!
I think children can also enjoy!
But it was a little crumbly, like the Carrot Cake.
Still, it was tasty cake and not only vegan or vegetarian but anyone can enjoy!
